About the OCA
Established in 1959, the Old Colony Amphibians formed a dive club with the purpose of promoting the sport of Scuba Diving & it's Related Activities for the enjoyment of its members while advocating safety and sportsmanship. Sixty-Five years later our membership consist of Men and Women that enjoy diving and are of all levels of diving experience from the novice to advanced, snorkelers and hard-core divers that enjoy a wide range of activities such as Dive Vacations to Exotic Places, Night Diving, Wreck Diving, Photography, Spearfishing, Boating and just Casual Diving.

Along with our regular activities once or twice a year members organize dive vacations to various Dive Resorts and Live Aboards in tropical locations, normally these Resorts will require an Advance Open Water Certification.

Among other activities that the club organizes are: Family Day, the Tune-up Dive, the Spearfishing Tournament, Winter Island Weekend, Night Dives and the Winter Dive Club to name a few.

As a Southern New England dive club we currently meet in Cumberland, RI and North Kingston, RI. Many of our members are from Massachusetts, Rhode Island and some are even from Florida.

Meetings are normally held at 7:00 pm at:
Dive On It Scuba – 1000 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI or
Bill Weedon's Shop – 315 Commerce Park Rd, Unit 4, North Kingston, RI.

During the warmer diving months, April 1 - October 31, we meet every Thursday. Winter meetings, November 1 - March 31, are held the first and third Thursday of the month starting at 7:00 pm.
